South Indian Star Ram Charan Makes Gaffes at Music Launch in Bhopal

Bhopal. South film star Ram Charan had reached Bhopal for the music launch of his upcoming film 'Pedi'. Music composer AR Rahman and actress Janhvi Kapoor were also present with him at the event.

During the conversation, Ram Charan praised Indian cricketers, but he made a mistake while discussing fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He mistakenly associated Bumrah with football instead of cricket.

After a video of this went viral, Ram Charan immediately apologized to Bumrah and called it a mistake made in the excitement amidst the crowd. Similarly, during the event, he addressed Madhya Pradesh as Bihar. While addressing the public from the stage, he said, 'Our people of Bihar, people of Bihar, are you with me?'

At this event in Bhopal, Ram Charan was asked to describe Indian cricketers in a few words. He described Sachin Tendulkar's playing career as a 'long and great journey'. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was called 'calm and cool', while Rohit Sharma was portrayed as 'everyone's favorite person'. When Virat Kohli's name came up, he commented with just one word, 'Fire'.

After the video went viral, Ram Charan shared a post on social media platform X and apologized to Bumrah. He wrote, 'Uff.. I sometimes forget things regarding names, I apologize to Jasprit Bumrahji for this mess, it was just a human error amidst so much excitement and a huge crowd.' Ram Charan further wrote that he respects Bumrah a lot and praises his game.

'Pedi' is a pan-India film, the star cast of which had come to Bhopal to promote its music. In this film, Janhvi Kapoor is in the lead role along with Ram Charan, and the music has been composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman.

Ram Charan's previous film 'RRR' has generated a lot of interest among audiences in North India as well after its success. This film will be released on June 4.
