Various Nepali Leaders Watch Film 'Bigul', Praise its Social Commentary

Kathmandu. Nepal's first President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa, former minister Pradip Paudel, MP Arjun Narsingh KC and various other leaders have watched the film 'Bigul'. They watched the film at a special screening held at Vishwajyoti Cinema Hall on Tuesday evening. 

After the screening, most of them commented that the theme raised by the film deeply resonates with the reality of present-day Nepal. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, mentioning that he watched a Nepali film in a hall after a long time, praised 'Bigul' as a 'bold film that speaks the reality of the country'.

Similarly, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa said that this film is not just entertainment but a medium of consciousness that compels society to think. A few days ago, the film 'Chasna' which was released, was postponed within a few days of its release.

This film, which focuses on the country's political instability, corruption, administrative anomalies, and public outcry, has been directed by Ramesh Koirala. The producer of the film is Dinesh Koirala. Director Ramesh said that 'Bigul' is not against any person or party but an artistic voice against the prevailing anomalies, injustice, and corrupt practices in society.

Preparations are underway for the film's re-release. The film is also scheduled to be screened in various cities of Australia from June 26. The film features actors such as Benisha Hamal, Naren Khadka, JN Ghimire, Hemant Budhathoki, Binod Neupane, Mira Pandit, Mansi Sharma, and Rabindra Khadka.
