Nepal Women's Cricket Team Defeats Malaysia Women's Cricket Team by 2 Wickets in First T20

Kuala Lumpur. The Nepali women's cricket team has defeated the Malaysian women's cricket team by 2 wickets. In the first T20 match held on Wednesday morning at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval ground, Nepal chased down Malaysia's target of 68 runs by losing 8 wickets with 15 balls remaining.

To give Nepal the victory, Samjhana Khadka contributed a significant 32 runs. She hit 2 fours in 39 balls. Rubi Poddar added 15 runs with the help of 2 fours in 22 balls. Other batters could not score in double digits.

Earlier, after Puja Mahato took 3 wickets, Malaysia was all out for 67 runs in 16.5 overs. Puja took 3 wickets by conceding only 13 runs in 4 overs.

Malaysia's opener Elsa Hunter scored the highest 10 runs. Other batters returned to the pavilion without scoring in double digits.

For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay and Riya Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Kabita Kunwar and Sita Rana Magar took 1 wicket each.
