Sunrisers Hyderabad Defeats Chennai Super Kings by 5 Wickets to Secure Playoff Spot

Kathmandu. Indian Premier League Under Monday's game Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets and secured its place in the playoffs.

Hyderabad successfully chased the target of 181 runs set by Chennai by losing 5 wickets in 19 overs. Opener Ishan Kishan contributed the highest 70 runs in 47 balls with explosive batting for Hyderabad's victory. He was well supported by Heinrich Klaasen with 47 runs and Abhishek Sharma with 26 runs.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings, who batted first after losing the toss, scored 180 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Dewald Brevis scored the highest 44 runs for Chennai, while Kartik Sharma contributed 32 and Sanju Samson contributed 27 runs.

On the bowling side, Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins performed excellently, conceding 28 runs in 4 overs and taking 3 important wickets. Shakib Hussain also took 2 wickets. Although Mukesh Choudhary took 2 wickets for Chennai, he could not save the team from defeat.
