Nora Fatehi to Perform at FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony

Mumbai. Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi will be the first Bollywood artist to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony. This ceremony will be held on June 12 at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada.

Earlier, Nora has performed at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the opening ceremony of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. She is becoming the first and only Bollywood artist to perform at the opening ceremony of both football and cricket World Cups.

The World Cup 2026 will be held in three countries: America, Mexico, and Canada. For this reason, FIFA has planned to hold three separate opening ceremonies before the first match in each host country.

Along with Nora, Bangladeshi-American DJ Sanjoy will also perform at the ceremony in Canada. Sanjoy had prepared the official remix of the hit song 'Chammak Challo' from the Bollywood film 'Ra.One' in 2011. Other artists including Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, and Jessie Reyez will also participate in the program.

On the other hand, popular singer Katy Perry has confirmed through Instagram that she will perform at the opening ceremony in America. She will perform at the ceremony to be held on June 12 at the SoFi Stadium in California. The match between America and Paraguay will be held at the same venue.

Artists like Lisa, Tyla, Anitta, and Rema are also scheduled to perform at the American event. Similarly, artists including Alejandro Fernández, Danny Ocean, and J Balvin will be seen at the opening ceremony to be held in Mexico City on June 11.

Singer Shakira, skilled in weaving musical magic at the World Cup, has also announced her comeback. She has informed that she will release a new song titled 'Daa Dii Daa' with Nigerian singer Burna Boy for this competition.

Shakira's song 'Waka Waka' was very popular in the 2010 World Cup. The main tournament of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be held from June 11 to July 19. The first match of this tournament, which will have a total of 104 games, will be held in Mexico City and the final match will be held in the New Jersey area.
