Six Arrested for Suspicious Activities in Birgunj Casinos

Parsa. Police have arrested six people on charges of entering various casinos in Birgunj and engaging in suspicious activities.

District Police Office Spokesperson Haribahadur Basnet informed that based on a special tip-off about gambling in four casinos here, five Indian citizens and one Nepali citizen were arrested on Saturday.

Those arrested include five people from Bihar state of India: Ganesh Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Suraj Prasad, Allah Yadav, Omprakash Yadav, and Jamudin Miyan Ansari from Birgunj Metropolitan City-32.

Based on the special tip-off, a joint team deployed from the District Police Office and Ward Police Office Birtā took them under control from Kings Casino, Fortune City Gaming Club, and Casino Majong, and necessary investigation is underway, informed Spokesperson Basnet.

Some amount of money and two mobile phones were also recovered from the arrested individuals.
