Supreme Court's Cause List Management Affected by Chief Justice Recommendation

Kathmandu. The effect of recommending Manoj Kumar Sharma, ranked fourth in seniority, for the post of Chief Justice has been seen in the cause list management of the Supreme Court.

In recent times, the Supreme Court has started giving public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays, and the daily cause list used to be published between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, but the cause list has not been assigned even by 11:15 AM today.  

Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala, however, said that the cause list was delayed only due to technical reasons. While the judges have to gather and draw lots, there is an atmosphere of uncertainty as the cause list has not been assigned even after two hours of delay today.
