Karnali Province Coordination Council Meeting Begins in Surkhet

Surkhet. The eleventh meeting of the Karnali Province Coordination Council has started. The meeting began today in Surkhet Birendranagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel.

The meeting will review the decisions of the tenth meeting, details and work of local level employees, coordination and interrelationship between development projects to be operated by the provincial government and local level and common rights, discussion on revenue to be sent by the local level to the province and formulation of policy and program and budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

According to the Chief Secretary of the Provincial Government, Birendra Kumar Yadav, the meeting will discuss making coordination between the province and local levels more effective, capacity building for settlement of irregularities, provincial archiving of laws made by local levels and necessary decisions will be made by discussing the issue of law making.

In the meeting, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Rajib Bikram Shah, Council members, chiefs and representatives of the Municipal Association, Rural Municipality Association and District Coordination Committee Association participated as invited members.
