Family Claims Murder in Rupandehi Road Accident

Butwal. The family has claimed that Vivek Baniyan, 21, of Mayadevi Rural Municipality in Rupandehi, who was said to have died in a road accident, was murdered. At a press conference in Butwal on Tuesday, the victim's family stated that it was suspicious that only their son died when the driver and four others in the vehicle sustained no injuries.< /p>

According to the victim's father, Badri Bishal Baniyan, Vivek had left home on March 15 saying he was going to Butwal. He said that although it was said that he died in an 'accident' near the highway in the Madhwalia area of Tilottama-15 that night, the nature of the incident was suspicious and an impartial investigation was demanded.< /p>

Another family member, Hariram Baniyan, expressed suspicion that this could be a planned murder rather than an accident, as the other occupants of the vehicle sustained no injuries. According to him, Kaushal Mishra, 22, son of the former ward chairman of Kotihawa-2, Virendra Yadav, 25, Rajpratap Chai, 24, and Satendra Mishra, 22, who were in the vehicle, are suspected of involvement.< /p>

The family complained that the police did not register their complaint even when they tried to file a case against the four individuals, accusing them of involvement in the incident. They have demanded that the truth of the incident be investigated and the guilty be punished according to the law.< /p>

Meanwhile, Nishant Shrivastava, chief of the Area Police Office, Butwal, said that the incident is being investigated meticulously. According to him, the truth of the incident is expected to be revealed once the absconding driver is apprehended. He informed that the other four occupants of the vehicle are under police surveillance and legal action will be taken according to the law if more evidence is found.< /p>
