Woman's Body Found Buried in Shivapuri National Park

Kathmandu. A woman's body has been found buried at the foothills of Shivapuri National Park in Tokha Municipality-1, Kathmandu. The body of 45-year-old Sarita Tiwari, a resident of Jhitpurfedhi in Tarkeshwor Municipality-3, was found, SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range Kathmandu told Ratopati. Tiwari had been missing since Baishakh 11. Her body was found buried in the jungle. SP Bhattarai said that preliminary investigation revealed that the body was buried after committing murder. Police have arrested 35-year-old Anil Dangol, a resident of Tokha Municipality-2, on suspicion of her murder. Police Station Maharajgunj is investigating the accused after obtaining a 7-day remand from the court for a murder case. The deceased and the accused were previously acquainted. An officer involved in the investigation told Ratopati that they were in a love relationship and the murder occurred after a dispute in the relationship.
