CPN's 6-Point Action Plan Made Public: Youth and Gen Z Participation in the Party to Reach 50 Percent
The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has made public the outline of its 6-point immediate action plan, announcing a radical transformation of the party structure. According to the plan approved by the party's Central Coordination Committee meeting, the participation of youth and 'new youth' (Gen Z) in all committees from ward to central level will be increased to 50 percent, as stated in a press release issued by spokesperson Prakash Jwala on Saturday.
President Ram Chandra Paudel issued three new ordinances on Saturday. On the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal, President Paudel issued these ordinances in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal. Road Construction of Three and a Half Kilometers Not Completed Despite 10 Extensions, Preparations to Extend Deadline Again
The construction of approximately three and a half kilometers of road from Highway Chowk to Golpark in Butwal has not been completed even though nearly a decade has passed since its commencement. The contract was signed with 'Kanchhanjunga-Biruwa JV' on March 30, 2073 BS, with the goal of expanding it into a 6-lane modern road. The project, with an estimated cost of around 54 crore rupees and a target completion within 30 months, i.e., by 2076 BS, remains unfinished. After the contracting company failed to complete the work despite 8 extensions, the Road Division Office, Butwal, canceled the contract in April 2081 BS.
