Mexico Leads Czech Republic 1-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group 'A' match, Mexico has taken a 1-0 lead against the Czech Republic.

Although the first half of the match held at Mexico City Stadium ended in a goalless draw, Mateo Chavez scored in the 55th minute of the second half to give Mexico the lead. On a pass from Luis Romo, Chavez finished excellently from inside the Czech Republic's penalty area to find the net.

Although both teams could not score in the first half, Mexico took the lead shortly after the start of the second half.

Mexico, already the group winner, is aiming for a third victory, while the Czech Republic, struggling to keep its knockout stage hopes alive, is under pressure. As of the 60th minute, Mexico is leading 1-0.
