Eight Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. In separate road accidents in various parts of the country, eight people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours. Three of the deceased were children in these accidents that occurred in Sunsari, Sarlahi, Bara, Kaski, Nawalparasi East, Kanchanpur, Dhanusha, and Bardiya.

In Duhabi Municipality-2 Tuthaha of Sunsari, a cyclist died after being hit by a bus. The approximately 50-year-old male, who was seriously injured when hit by a bus with registration number Pr.1-02-002 Kha 1111, died during treatment at Kosi Hospital, Biratnagar. Police have taken the bus driver under control.

Similarly, in Lalbandi Municipality-4 of Sarlahi, a 6-year-old girl, Ansu Bhattarai, died on the spot after being hit by a tractor with registration number Na.5 Ta 3113. She was on a bicycle when the tractor hit her, and another person injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

In Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-24 of Bara, a 70-year-old pedestrian, Dahauara Devi Mahato, died after being hit by a motorcycle. She was seriously injured when hit by a motorcycle with registration number Ma.Pra.03-02-026 P 0084 and died during treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Parwanipur.

Meanwhile, in Hanspur Municipality-2 Bakuchowda of Dhanusha, a 14-year-old boy, Krishna Mandal, died when a motorcycle went out of control and met with an accident. He was the motorcycle rider and died during treatment at Provincial Hospital, Janakpur, according to the police.

In Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, loss of life and property has also occurred due to accidents in various districts. In Annapurna Rural Municipality-9 Sudhame of Kaski, a 6-year-old girl, Sushma Ale, died after being hit by a Bolero. She was injured while crossing the road when the Bolero with registration number Ga.1 Ja 8719 hit her, and she died at Fishtail Hospital in Pokhara.

In Kawasoti of Nawalparasi East, a 36-year-old woman, Nisha Kumal, died when a scooter collided with a parked truck. Nisha, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Kaligandaki Hospital.

Two children also lost their lives in accidents in Kanchanpur and Bardiya. In Dodhara Chandani of Kanchanpur, a 14-year-old boy, Bibhav Chunara, died on the spot when a tipper hit a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider was injured, and the tipper driver has been taken into police custody. In Gulariya Municipality-11 of Bardiya, an 8-year-old girl, Nazia Sai, died after being hit by a vehicle. She died on the spot when a vehicle coming towards Nepalgunj hit her.

Police are conducting further investigations into all these incidents.
