Chinese Ambassador Meets Nepal's Minister of Education, Discusses Cooperation

Kathmandu. The Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chang Mao Ming, paid a courtesy call on Nepal's Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sashmit Pokharel. During the meeting held at the Ministry in Singh Durbar on Monday, discussions were held on cooperation and collaboration from the Chinese government in areas including Nepal's education, science and technology, and sports.

Specifically, discussions focused on school infrastructure, digital systems in education, institutional development, and contemporary issues. Furthermore, discussions centered on the historical bilateral relations, cooperation, and mutual collaboration between Nepal and China.

During the meeting, Minister Pokharel, who is also the spokesperson for the Nepali government, expressed his desire to see increased partnership and cooperation with the Chinese government, particularly in the development of school infrastructure and the institutionalization of digital systems in education.

Additionally, Minister Pokharel drew the attention of the Chinese government to expedite the completion of projects in the education sector and to promote scholarships offered by the Chinese government in accordance with the interests of Nepali youth.

Chinese Ambassador Mao Ming stated that the Chinese government is willing to partner and cooperate on the issues raised by the Nepali government. Understanding was reached during the meeting to further strengthen the mutual interests and multifaceted relations between the two countries.
