Heavy rainfall disrupts road connectivity and power supply in Bhojpur

Bhojpur. Road connectivity has been disrupted and power services have been affected due to heavy rainfall. The road located at Bhojpur Municipality-5, Bokhim, was completely blocked following rainfall on Saturday evening.

As this road falls under the Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway, vehicles travel through here daily. Ward Chairman Phavindra Pradhan stated that there are currently issues with vehicle movement and efforts are underway to repair the road.

The rainfall has also damaged unpaved roads in the rural areas of the district. Power services in the district have been interrupted due to issues with local hydropower projects and the 33 kV national transmission line. The District Police Office, Bhojpur, stated that details regarding the damage caused by the rain are currently being collected.
