Police Arrest 41 Individuals Nationwide in Anti-Drug Operation

Kathmandu. A police team on regular patrol has arrested 41 individuals from various parts of the country. A teenager was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Jadibuti, along with 130 Tramadol tablets, which are only available by prescription, and NPR 68,200 in cash.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, individuals were arrested with brown heroin from Tikapur Municipality-1 in Kailali (one), Ghodaghodi Municipality-10 Pahalmanpur (two), Birendranagar Municipality-8 Simtali Chowk (two), Buddhabhumi Municipality-9 in Kapilvastu (one), Inaruwa Municipality-4 Baschowk in Sunsari (two), and Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-15 Bhanuchowk in Dang (two).

The suspects were arrested on Saturday. Cash and scales used for weighing narcotics were also seized from them.

Similarly, one person was arrested with brown heroin from Sukedhara in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, and two were arrested from Balkhu Chowk with 998 Tramadol tablets and NPR 16,500 in cash.

Additionally, arrests were made in Suryodaya Municipality-11 Kalapani in Ilam (two), Bhadrapur Municipality-5 in Jhapa (nine), Shivasatakshi Municipality-1 (two), Bedkot Municipality-8 in Kanchanpur (two), Bhimdutta Municipality-11 Gaddachauki (two), Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-15 Gobraiya in Rupandehi (two), and Sainamaina Municipality-5 Buddhanagar (one).

Furthermore, arrests were reported from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15 (one), Triveni Rural Municipality-2 Bisauni in Rukum West (one), Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-5 Shitalpur in Dang (one), Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-6 Ranipur in Bardiya (four), Pokhara Metropolitan City-5 Prashyang (two), and one person was arrested with 250 Nitrazepam tablets, which are only available by prescription, from Ganeshman Charanath Municipality-2 Radhapur in Dhanusha.
