Film Development Board Provides Financial Aid to Ailing Film Professionals

Kathmandu. The 'Film Professionals Welfare Fund', operated under the Film Development Board, has provided financial assistance to seven film professionals who are currently unwell or facing health-related difficulties. The board distributed the aid during a program held at its office on Thursday, with the objective of honoring creators who have made significant contributions to the Nepali film industry and supporting them during challenging times.

The recipients of the assistance include artist Roma Bista, artist Kshitija Shakya, stunt performer Phadendra Bahadur Bishwakarma, director Pasang Temba Sherpa, film journalist Shanti Prasad Upadhyay, and producer Pravin Thapa. Additionally, financial support was provided to the family of the late senior makeup artist Ashok Rokka.

The handover program was attended by Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC, Film Professionals Welfare Fund Coordinator and senior actress Basundhara Bhusal, and fund members Mohan Niraula, Narayan Pradhan, Janakdeep Parajuli, and Pushkar Lama.

On the occasion, Board Chairman Dinesh DC stated that the Film Development Board remains committed to the honor, security, and welfare of creators, artists, technicians, journalists, and all film professionals in the Nepali film industry.
