Greater Janakpur Area Development Council issues 7-day ultimatum to former employees for document handover

Janakpurdham. The Greater Janakpur Area Development Council has issued a seven-day ultimatum to six of its former employees, who were suspended or dismissed following various disciplinary actions, to hand over official documents and inventory items.

Council Chairman Shital Sah Purbe issued a public notice on Friday, stating that these employees have ignored repeated reminders and have been concealing important documents, and has ordered them to report to the office immediately.

According to the Council, Senior Administrative Officer Chiranjivi Dhungana, Computer Officer Krishna Murari Singh, Officer Jitendra Kumar Yadav, Accountant Sabitri Kumari Giri, Store Keeper Madan Kumar Chaudhary, and Non-Gazetted First Class Officer Sanjay Kumar Mandal have yet to complete the handover process.

Most of them are also defendants in cases currently pending at the Special Court in Kathmandu. The Council claims that although the Special Court ordered the production of these original documents on 2082 Chaitra 2, the employees have kept them hidden.

This public notice was issued based on a letter received by Chairman Purbe from the Special Court on Baisakh 8. The notice states that if the employees do not submit the original documents and inventory items in their possession and obtain a receipt within the next seven days, strict legal action will be initiated against them in accordance with prevailing laws.
