Lumbini Provincial Assembly to Convene 15th Meeting Today

Butwal. The 15th meeting of the seventh session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is scheduled to be held today at 1:00 PM. The agenda includes discussions on various bills, reports, and contemporary issues.

According to the agenda, provincial assembly members will first express their views on contemporary issues during a special session. Following this, Dilkumari Budha, Chairperson of the Provincial Affairs and Law Committee, is scheduled to present the committee's report on the bill to amend the 'District Assembly and District Coordination Committee Operation Act, 2075'.

Similarly, Minister for Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives, Dinesh Panthi, will present a proposal to discuss and pass the 'Bill with report on the management and regulation of provincial pesticides'. The agenda notes that the Speaker will put this proposal to a decision.

The meeting will also feature the presentation of the Public Accounts Committee's annual report by its Chairperson, Maya Pun. Furthermore, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat stated that the Leader of the Opposition, Jokh Bahadur Mahara, is scheduled to deliver a special address.
