Lionel Messi leads Inter Miami to thrilling victory over Colorado

Colorado. Captain Lionel Messi scored two goals as Inter Miami secured a thrilling victory over Colorado in Major League Soccer (MLS).

In the match that concluded on Sunday morning, Miami defeated Colorado 3–2 on their home turf. 

Messi gave Miami the lead with a penalty goal in the 18th minute. Miami doubled their lead when German Berterame scored during first-half injury time. However, Colorado made a brilliant comeback in the second half. After Rafael Navarro scored in the 58th minute and Darren Yapi in the 62nd minute, the game was tied at 2–2. 

Then, in the 79th minute, Messi scored his second goal of the match to secure a memorable 3–2 win for Miami. Miami also received a red card in the 87th minute of the game. With this victory, Inter Miami has climbed to second place in the league. They have 15 points from 8 matches, following 1 loss and 3 draws.
