Bagmati and Lumbini Provincial Assemblies to Convene Today

Kathmandu. The provincial assembly meetings for Bagmati and Lumbini are scheduled to be held separately today. The Bagmati provincial assembly is set to meet at 11:00 AM, while the Lumbini provincial assembly is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Provincial Assembly Secretary Ramkumar Paudel stated that the Bagmati assembly agenda includes discussions on the theoretical aspects of various bills and forwarding them to thematic committees for clause-wise deliberation.

During the meetings held on Chaitra 25 and 26, the 'Bill to Provide for Provincial Financial Procedures and Financial Accountability 2082' and the 'Bill to Provide for Provincial Water Supply and Sanitation 2082' were presented and underwent general discussion.

Secretary Paudel noted that after discussing the theoretical aspects of these bills, they will be sent to thematic committees to incorporate suggestions and prepare separate reports.

Meanwhile, the Lumbini provincial assembly secretariat has announced three items on its agenda.

The meeting will begin with provincial assembly members expressing their views on contemporary issues during a special session. Additionally, Minister of Industry, Tourism, and Transport Prachanda Bikram Neupane is expected to propose that the 'Lumbini Academy of Arts and Literature Establishment and Operation Bill' be sent to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.

The agenda also includes the presentation of the annual report of the Provincial Affairs and Law Committee by its Chairperson, Dil Kumari Budha.
