Kathmandu Police Implements File Tracking System to Enhance Service Delivery

Kathmandu. The District Police Range, Kathmandu, has announced that it has been implementing a file tracking system for the past six months. During a press conference on Friday, SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, stated that file tracking has been conducted via phone, text message, and email since Ashoj 2082.

He noted that by developing the file tracking system, they have established contact with complainants through 30,600 phone calls, 1,700 text messages, and 1,550 emails. He stated, ‘We have contacted victims via phone, message, and email for follow-ups.’ 

Bhattarai explained that the file tracking system was developed to address issues such as banking offenses, depositions, character verification, missing persons reports, public security, and domestic violence. 

Furthermore, he informed that a QR code system is being introduced to collect complaints and suggestions. In the last six months, 83,540 service seekers have received services at the District Police Range, Kathmandu. Bhattarai added that citizen facilitators have been deployed to assist service seekers.
