Three Arrested for Embezzling Funds by Promising Foreign Employment

Kathmandu. Three people have been arrested by the police on charges of embezzling funds by luring them with attractive salaries for foreign employment and sending them to various countries.

Those arrested include Dilmaya Gaire, 36, of Banganga Municipality-8, Kapilvastu, Sandesh Dhungana, 28, of Chhagun Narayan Municipality-5, Bhaktapur, and Vishal Khawas Rana, 30, of Rupa Rural Municipality-1, Kaski.

Among those arrested, Dilmaya took Rs 7 lakh from one person promising to send them to America, Sandesh took Rs 16 lakh from two people promising to send them to Croatia, and Vishal took Rs 2 lakh from one person promising to send them to Serbia and became out of contact. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police dispatched from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested Dilmaya from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13, Sandesh from Bhaktapur Chhagun Narayan Municipality-7, and Vishal from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11.

Dilmaya among those arrested has been sent to District Police Complex Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action, while Sandesh and Vishal have been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu.
