Nepali Congress MP Bharat Khadka Files Candidacy for Public Accounts Committee Chair

Kathmandu. Bharat Khadka, a Member of Parliament from the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, filed his candidacy for the position of Public Accounts Committee Chairperson on Thursday.

Khadka is a directly elected MP from Doti. 

The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party has already decided to allocate the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship to the main opposition party. 

The Rastriya Swatantra Party holds a majority in both the 275-member House of Representatives and the Public Accounts Committee. Mohan Acharya is the proposer for Khadka's candidacy, with Janakraj Giri serving as the seconder.
