Gandaki Province lawmaker resigns after failing to secure ministerial position

Kathmandu. A lawmaker from Gandaki Province has resigned from his post after failing to secure a ministerial position. Dronakumar Kunwar, a provincial assembly member from the Nepali Congress, has submitted his resignation.

Kunwar, who was directly elected from Baglung District Constituency 2 (2), submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly on Wednesday. He stated that his resignation will be effective from Baisakh 2.

In his resignation letter, he expressed gratitude to the voters and supporters who trusted and voted for him. He also apologized for not being able to work according to the expectations of the people.

He stated that even though he will no longer hold a public office, his service to the people will continue. He also thanked the party leaders, fellow provincial assembly members, staff, and well-wishers who supported him during his tenure.

Kunwar is also a Mahasamiti member of the Nepali Congress. The Gandaki Province Council of Ministers was reshuffled today, in which he was an aspirant but his name was not included.
