Police confirm ongoing investigation into KP Sharma Oli and Ramesh Lekhak

Kathmandu. The police have stated that investigations into former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak are ongoing. The District Police Range, Kathmandu, provided this information through a press release issued on Tuesday. 

Oli and Lekhak, who were arrested on Chait 14, were released on Chait 26 based on a mandamus order from the Supreme Court.

SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, informed that the investigation into the two individuals accused of homicide is being conducted while they are under the guarantee of reliable persons, following the Supreme Court's mandamus and the instructions of the District Government Attorney's Office, Kathmandu. 

The police have urged against publishing or broadcasting misleading information on social media and in the media regarding the ongoing investigation.

The Kathmandu police stated, 'As incorrect information has been disseminated to the public due to baseless and misleading reports regarding the investigation, which is being conducted independently, legally, and in consultation with the Government Attorney's Office, we cordially request everyone not to create or broadcast unverified information.'
