Former PM KP Sharma Oli undergoes gallbladder surgery at TU Teaching Hospital

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is undergoing surgery for gallstones. Hospital Director Dr. Subash Acharya confirmed that the procedure is taking place at the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. 

‘He has been taken to the operating theater for surgery’, Acharya told RatoPati, ‘The hospital will issue a statement once the surgery is complete.’

According to hospital sources, a team led by Dr. Paleswan Joshi Lakhe will remove the 22mm stone from Oli’s gallbladder.

Following the recommendations of the Gen-Z movement investigation report, police arrested Oli on Chaitra 13 from his residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur. Due to health complications, he has been admitted to the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj since that day.
