Ugandan Army Chief Demands $1 Billion and 'Most Beautiful Woman' from Turkey

Kampala. Uganda's army chief, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has made two bizarre demands to Turkey. He has stated that Turkey must pay $1 billion and hand over the country's most beautiful woman for him to marry.

Kainerugaba's first demand is for Turkey to pay $1 billion in recognition of Uganda's long-standing military contribution to fighting Islamic terrorists in Somalia. His second demand is that Turkey must provide the most beautiful woman in the country for him to take as his wife.

The Ugandan army chief's demands are facing widespread criticism. However, this is not the first time he has made such unusual requests. Previously, in 2022, he offered to give 100 cows to Italy in exchange for marrying Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. A few years after that incident, Army Chief Kainerugaba has now demanded the most beautiful Turkish woman as his wife.

Army Chief Kainerugaba has warned that Turkey will face serious diplomatic consequences if it fails to meet his demands within 30 days. He stated that if Turkey does not provide him with $1 billion and the country's most beautiful woman within 30 days, the Turkish embassy in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, will be closed. Kainerugaba is the son of the country's President, Yoweri Museveni.

In a series of posts on the social media platform X on Saturday, Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces, Kainerugaba, also accused Turkey of profiting from infrastructure deals in Somalia, particularly by operating the port and airport in Mogadishu. He argued that Uganda has borne a heavy security burden for nearly two decades, fighting terrorists from the Al-Qaeda-affiliated group Al-Shabaab through African Union missions.

In one of his posts, Kainerugaba wrote, 'In addition to the $1 billion from Turkey, I want the most beautiful woman from that country as my wife.'
