Lalitpur Metropolitan City to Provide Essential Services During Public Holidays

Kathmandu. Lalitpur Metropolitan City has decided to continue providing essential services even on public holidays. The metropolis stated that it has decided to provide services even on Saturdays and Sundays, which are designated as public holidays by the government.

Targeting emergency and essential services, the metropolis announced that it will maintain service delivery during public holidays. Areas where such continuous services will be available include the Municipal Police Force, fire brigade, ambulance, hearse, environment and sanitation, and one-door tourism services. The metropolis stated that these services are directly linked to the daily safety and health of the public, and arrangements have been made to ensure they remain operational without interruption.

According to the Metropolitan Information Officer, Devi Prasad Guragain, employees working in the relevant departments and branches have been instructed to perform their duties according to the designated time and holiday schedule.
