Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly Forwards Two Key Bills to Committees

Dhangadhi. The fifth meeting of the seventh session of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly, held on Sunday, has forwarded two significant bills to their respective committees for clause-by-clause discussion. The meeting held on Sunday, 29 Chaitra 2082, decided to refer bills related to the province's communication and agricultural sectors to the committees.

The assembly has forwarded the 'Bill to Make Provisions Regarding Mass Communication in Sudurpashchim Province' to the Legislation and Provincial Affairs Committee. The bill was referred to the committee in accordance with Rule 111, Sub-rule (1), Clause (b) of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly Regulations, 2080. This bill aims to organize and regulate the mass communication sector within the province.

Similarly, the same meeting forwarded the 'Bill to Make Provisions Regarding Pesticide Management in Sudurpashchim Province' to the Social Development Committee. This bill was also referred to the committee under Rule 111, Sub-rule (1), Clause (b) of the Provincial Assembly Regulations, 2080. It is stated that this bill was introduced to control and properly manage the increasing use of pesticides in the agricultural sector.

Once the respective committees conduct clause-by-clause discussions and prepare their reports, these bills will be presented again to the full meeting of the Provincial Assembly. This fifth meeting of the seventh session has advanced the process of building the province's essential legal framework.
