Three killed in separate road accidents across Nepal on Saturday

Kathmandu. Three people lost their lives in separate road accidents across the country on Saturday. The incidents, which occurred in Kohalpur and Baijanath in Banke, and Bharatpur in Chitwan, resulted in the deaths of two men and one woman.

In Akalgharuwa, Kohalpur Municipality-15, Banke, 57-year-old Debisara Rawat of Jajarkot died on the spot after a tipper truck struck her motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment in Nepalgunj, while police have taken the tipper driver into custody.

In Jethinala, Baijanath Rural Municipality-3, Banke, 26-year-old cyclist Adhis Tharu died after being hit by a Bolero. Tharu, who was critically injured, passed away during treatment at the Medical College in Kohalpur. Police have detained the vehicle and its driver to initiate an investigation.

Meanwhile, in Sapkota Chowk, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5, Chitwan, 27-year-old Jai Shriram Ray died following a collision between a motorcycle and a scooter. Ray, a native of Bara residing in Bharatpur, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Government Hospital.

Another person riding the scooter was injured in the collision and is receiving treatment at the same hospital. Police have taken the scooter driver into custody and are conducting further investigations into the cause of the accident.
