Kaski Police Intensify Crackdown on Fugitive Offenders

Kaski. The District Police Office, Kaski, has begun a swift operation to apprehend fugitive defendants. The police have increased their efforts to bring individuals who have been convicted by the court in various cases and are evading their sentences to justice.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet, ten fugitive defendants were arrested on Friday alone as part of this campaign. Similarly, nine individuals were arrested on Thursday for check bounce cases, and six were apprehended on Tuesday for check bounce and theft cases.

Basnet stated that among those arrested on Friday, seven were involved in check bounce cases, one in a banking offense, and one in a public offense case. He informed that the arrested individuals were presented to the Kaski District Court, with a total of 7 days of imprisonment and fines amounting to Rs 1,429,200 to be recovered.

It is reported that the six fugitives arrested last Tuesday for check bounce and theft cases will face one year of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 16,000. The nine individuals arrested last Thursday for check bounce cases have been presented to the District Court, with 7 days of imprisonment and fines of Rs 64,800 to be recovered.
