Vice President Yadav Emphasizes Research to Strengthen Nepal's Health Sector

Kathmandu. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has stated that research must be given higher priority to strengthen Nepal's health sector.

Inaugurating the 12th National Summit of Health and Population Scientists in Lalitpur on Friday, Vice President Yadav emphasized that research should be prioritized to strengthen the health sector by taking strategic steps in pandemic control, disease management, and health promotion. 

Stating that constitutional provisions provide clear guidance to make health research the basis for policy formulation, he expressed the view that transforming facts and data obtained from scientific research into health policies, programs, and implementation is the core essence directed by the Constitution.

He remarked that health research should be viewed not just as an academic exercise but as a national responsibility. Vice President Yadav expressed his belief that the summit would foster enthusiasm and a collaborative environment among researchers, leading to the creation of essential plans to further strengthen Nepal's health sector.

He added that only through collective commitment and accountability will Nepal be capable of facing current and future health challenges.
