Nepal Announces Academic Calendar for 2083 Session

Kathmandu. Formal classes for the 2083 academic session are scheduled to begin on Baisakh 21, 2083. The enrollment campaign for the new academic session will commence on Baisakh 15, 2083.

Following the directives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal, it has been decided to start the 2083 academic session from Baisakh 15.

Additionally, a provision for a two-day public holiday on Saturdays and Sundays has been implemented for government offices and all educational institutions starting from Chaitra 23.

Accordingly, schools have been requested to conduct educational activities starting from Baisakh 2.

• Preparing the annual calendar and academic plan
• Developing and updating school improvement plans
• Conducting professional development programs for teachers
• Preparing plans to improve student learning outcomes
