Judicial Council Recommends Judicial Appointments and Transfers

Kathmandu. The Judicial Council decided on Wednesday to advise the Government of Nepal to appoint High Court Patan Judge Chandra Bahadur Saru as the Chairperson of the Special Military Court, while also allowing him to continue his regular judicial duties.

It has also been decided to advise the Government of Nepal to appoint High Court Patan Judge Tankaprasad Gurung as the Chairperson of the Committee hearing appeals against the decisions of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, while allowing him to continue his regular judicial duties.

A decision was also made to recommend the deputation of High Court Biratnagar Judge Rajyalaxmi Bajracharya to the temporary bench in Okhaldhunga. Kathmandu District Court Srestedar Tirtharaj Bhattarai has been recommended for the position of District Judge in Kailali, while High Court Janakpur Judge Shyamkumar Bhattarai has been recommended for deputation to the National Judicial Academy.
