Kiran Pandit Assumes Office as Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank

Kathmandu. Newly appointed Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Kiran Pandit, took the oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday and assumed his duties.

Immediately after taking the oath before Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel, Pandit assumed his office today. Pandit was appointed as Deputy Governor following a decision by the Government of Nepal on 2082 Chaitra 24.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Poudel congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Governor and wished him a successful tenure. Deputy Governor Pandit brings two decades of experience to the central bank. He entered the bank's service as an Assistant Director on 2062 Magh 2.

Due to his professional competence, he was promoted to Deputy Director in 2068, Director in 2074, and Executive Director on 2081 Falgun 1.

While serving as Executive Director, he led key departments such as the Payment Systems Department and the Foreign Exchange Management Department.

Additionally, he has also served as the central spokesperson for the bank.
