Krishna Bahadur Rokaya elected unopposed as Chairman of Legislation Management Committee

Kathmandu. Krishna Bahadur Rokaya has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of the Legislation Management Committee under the National Assembly. The committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday selected Nepali Congress Chief Whip Rokaya as the Chairman.

The meeting was chaired by the committee's senior member, Krishna Prasad Sitaula. Chairman Sitaula presented the proposal to elect Krishna Bahadur Rokaya as the committee chairman, which was passed unanimously.

After being elected unanimously, Rokaya expressed his commitment to rise above party lines, harbor no bias, and work to enhance the dignity of the committee and the assembly.

He stated, 'I am grateful for the trust placed in me by the honorable members. Throughout my tenure, I will act impartially, rising above party interests to make this Legislation Committee more dignified and uphold the prestige of the National Assembly.'

The committee also welcomed the newly elected members.
