Dhurandhar: The Revenge sets historic box office record for Indian cinema

Mumbai. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has set the biggest record in the history of Indian cinema. Within a short period of its release, the film has created a new milestone by achieving a net collection of 1,000 crore rupees in India alone.

The film's global business has now crossed 1,622 crore rupees, making it an all-time blockbuster of Indian cinema.

There has been no slowdown in the film's earnings even as it enters its third week.

During the third weekend, from the 16th to the 18th day, the film added 80 crore rupees. Its total net collection in India has reached 1,041 crore, with a gross collection of 1,228 crore. The film surpassed the lifetime record of its first installment in just 10 days, establishing its dominance. It now holds the title for the fastest Indian film to cross the 1,000 crore mark globally.

Dhurandhar is not only performing well domestically but is also giving tough competition to foreign films abroad. Having earned 394 crore in the overseas market, the film has set a record as the first Indian film to cross the 25 million dollar mark in North America.

Similarly, it has shown a strong presence in the European market by becoming the first Indian film to earn over 1 million Euros in Germany. The film's production, action, and storyline are being compared to world-class cinema.

Following the immense success of the first part released last December, this sequel, which arrived on March 19, has performed far better than audience expectations. According to trade experts, as there are no other major films currently competing in the market, Dhurandhar's winning streak is expected to continue for a long time.
