Man found dead, wife critically injured in Nawalparasi

Nawalparasi. A man was found dead today in Devchuli Municipality-16 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), while his wife was discovered in critical condition.

The 75-year-old local, Jivanram Tharu, was found dead inside his home with a wound on his head appearing to be caused by a knife. His 70-year-old wife, Gulbaseniya Tharu, was also found unconscious with severe head injuries, according to Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

He stated that the injured Gulbaseniya has been taken to Chitwan for treatment. It has been revealed that the couple lived alone, while their son and daughter-in-law resided in a separate house. Superintendent Khadka added that an investigation team, including a police dog unit, has been deployed to the scene.
