CityPay and Chhito Paisa Finalize Historic Merger to Strengthen Nepal's Fintech Sector

 With this union between the two organizations, the 'Proposed Migration Date' has been set for Baisakh 2, which is believed to add a new dimension to Nepal's digital payment system.

Following this merger, all customers of Chhito Paisa will be integrated into CityPay's state-of-the-art and extensive digital ecosystem. This merger is seen as a significant milestone, especially for riders, captains, and heroes associated with ride-sharing platforms like Pathao. Now, riders will be freed from the hassle of using multiple wallets and will receive an 'all-in-one' payment solution through CityPay.

After joining CityPay, riders will be able to pay Pathao dues and fines instantly directly from the app, keeping their accounts active at all times. Additionally, special cashback offers and loyalty rewards have been arranged for them, which will save time and make daily transactions more convenient and beneficial.

CityPay, which has been maintaining a strong presence in the fintech sector, has been providing easy payment facilities through PhonePe, NepalPay, and Smart QR to millions of merchants across Nepal. Along with this, users can book domestic and international flight and bus tickets from the comfort of their homes. 

Authorized by Nepal Rastra Bank, this wallet also provides the facility to pay revenue, traffic fines, and other government taxes directly, which is secured by high-level encryption technology.
