Kaski Police Arrest Woman with Drugs and Cash in Pokhara

Pokhara. Kaski Police have apprehended a young woman from Sainik Basti in Pokhara along with illegal drugs and a significant amount of cash. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from the District Police Office, Kaski, and the Area Police Office, Shishuwa, arrested 26-year-old Sima Darji, a native of Kushma, Parbat, currently residing in Pokhara-29.

Police recovered 8 ampoules of drugs, including Diazepam, Phenergan, and Buprenorphine, along with two mobile phones and 401,000 rupees in cash from Darji. According to Kaski Police Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet, the Kaski District Court has granted a 6-day remand to further investigate the drug-related charges against her.

Police investigations revealed that Darji was previously convicted in a drug case and was serving time at the Kaski Prison. However, it has been disclosed that she escaped from prison on Bhadra 24, taking advantage of the Gen-Z movement in the country. 

After escaping from jail, she was caught by the police while actively involved in the drug trade again.
