Nepal Government Publishes Two-Day Weekend Decision in Gazette

Kathmandu. The Cabinet's decision to grant a two-day weekend has been published in the Nepal Gazette. The Cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to grant holidays on both Saturday and Sunday. The decision was published in the Gazette within a few hours.

Effective from Monday, the decision published in the Gazette mandates that government offices, public agencies, and educational institutions will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays. For the aforementioned offices and agencies, excluding educational institutions, office hours will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

However, it has been decided that office hours from Kartik 16 to Magh 15 will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
