Dr. Shankar Gautam Elected President of Nepal Ayurveda Medical Association

Kathmandu. Dr. Shankar Gautam has been elected as the president of the Nepal Ayurveda Medical Association. Dr. Subarna Poudel was his closest competitor. The association's 11th National Conference, held here on Chaitra 20 and 21, elected a new 25-member working committee under the leadership of Dr. Gautam.

Outgoing association president Dr. Shyambabu Yadav announced that Dr. Ramesh Poudel has been elected as Senior Vice President, Dr. Sirjana Shrestha as Women's Vice President, Dr. Rishikesh Bhusal as General Secretary, Dr. Deepak Kumar Mandal as Secretary, and Dr. Sijan Koju as Treasurer.

According to him, the elected provincial vice presidents are Dr. Bijay Kumar Singh for Koshi, Dr. Shiva Narayan Gupta for Madhesh, Dr. Devendra Kumar Yadav for Bagmati, Dr. Nagendra Lamichhane for Gandaki, Dr. Kailash Neupane for Lumbini, Dr. Sudarshan Pokharel for Karnali, and Dr. Himal Bhatta for Sudurpaschim.
