Kathmandu Traffic Police Intensifies Enforcement of Traffic Signals

Kathmandu. The traffic police have tightened the enforcement of traffic regulations. Traffic police have begun actively apprehending and penalizing those who fail to comply with traffic lights in Kathmandu. On Saturday, vehicles that ignored two traffic lights at Babarmahal were intercepted and penalized by traffic police at Bijuli Bazar.

Failure to adhere to traffic rules increases the risk of accidents. Drivers who continue to operate their vehicles when the red light is on are being targeted by traffic police enforcement.

Public reaction to this initiative has been mixed; some have expressed dissatisfaction, claiming the traffic police have malicious intent to harass, while others have praised the move, stating that everyone must follow traffic rules.
