One dead, two injured in motorcycle collision in Sunsari

Sunsari. One person has died and two others were injured in a motorcycle accident in Tarahara, Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-20, Sunsari.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka of Sunsari confirmed that the deceased has been identified as approximately 50-year-old Amar Bahadur Bhujel of Itahari-2 Shantinagar.

Bhujel was critically injured on Friday evening when two motorcycles, bearing registration numbers Province 1-02-020 Pa 6883 and Province 1-02-020 Pa 6340, collided with each other. The District Police Office, Sunsari, stated that he passed away during the course of treatment.

Police reported that 17-year-old Rohit Giri and 19-year-old Smile Rai, both residents of Itahari-20 Tarahara, were also injured in the accident. Rai is currently undergoing treatment at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, while Giri is being treated at Virat Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
