Shram Sanskriti Party stakes claim for Deputy Speaker position

Kathmandu. The Shram Sanskriti Party has staked its claim for the position of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Chairperson Harka Sampang stated that his party will field a female candidate for the post. 

He wrote on social media: 'We have already congratulated the Speaker on being elected unopposed; now the election for Deputy Speaker is underway. We are fielding a female candidate.' 

Sampang also expressed confidence that the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), considered a new political force, will vote for his party's candidate. He wrote: 'Let's see if the new ones vote for the new ones or for the same old ones! Will it be 7 votes or 189?'
