Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal to be sworn in on Chaitra 22

Kathmandu. The oath-taking ceremony for Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled for Chaitra 22 at 3:00 PM. Aryal, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, was elected unopposed as the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Friday.

Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Ekram Giri stated that only Aryal's candidacy was filed during the time allotted by the Federal Parliament Secretariat for registration, which was from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday.

The Office of the President announced that President Ramchandra Paudel will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Speaker Aryal on Sunday at 3:00 PM.

Aryal will be formally declared Speaker by the House of Representatives during its session on Sunday at 11:00 AM after completing the necessary procedures. Following this, he will take the oath of office and secrecy from the President at 3:00 PM.
