RSP Vice-Chair DP Aryal Files Sole Candidacy for Speaker

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice-Chair DP Aryal has filed the sole candidacy for the post of Speaker. His was the only nomination registered by the 2:00 PM deadline set for Friday.

Although the CPN-UML had previously indicated it would register a nomination, the party did not proceed with the filing at the last minute.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat confirmed that only Aryal's nomination was registered within the designated timeframe. Aryal is now set to be declared elected unopposed as Speaker on Sunday.
