15 Arrested Across Nepal in Nationwide Drug Crackdown

Kathmandu. Fifteen individuals have been arrested from various locations across the country for drug-related offenses. The arrests were made in districts including Kathmandu, Morang, Kailali, and Banke.

In Kathmandu, 26-year-old Bigyan Mahato from Chandragiri Municipality-3, Thankot, was arrested Thursday night with 93 tablets of the controlled drug Tramadol.

Police from the Thankot sector, while patrolling, intercepted him on a motorcycle (Province 3-03-001 Pa 3010) traveling from Thankot toward Gurjudhara.

Similarly, in Kailali, two individuals were arrested Thursday afternoon at Tikapur Municipality-8, Khakraula, with 210 milligrams of a substance resembling brown heroin and 10 tablets of Tramadol. The suspects are 22-year-old Chiranjibi Neupane and 20-year-old Bigyan Bhandari.

In Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Kailali, 21-year-old Arjun Nath Yogi was arrested Thursday afternoon with 110 milligrams of a substance resembling brown sugar.

In Morang, two individuals were arrested Thursday evening in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-16 with 2 grams and 910 milligrams of a substance resembling brown heroin. The suspects are 22-year-old Ajay Kumar Raya and 23-year-old Niranjan Majhi.

In Rupandehi, two individuals were arrested Thursday afternoon in Kanchan Rural Municipality-5, Bargadwa, with 200 milligrams of a substance resembling brown sugar. The suspects are 30-year-old Durga Subedi and 37-year-old Mahesh Thapa.

In Tanahun, two individuals were arrested Thursday evening at Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4, Benitar, with 28 ampoules each of Diazepam, Phenergan, and Buprenorphine. The suspects are 35-year-old Amrit Kunwar and 44-year-old Kushbal Gurung.

In Banke, 34-year-old Rabichandra Gharti Magar was arrested Thursday evening in Kohalpur Municipality-10 with 210 milligrams of a substance resembling brown sugar and 5,000 rupees in cash.

In Chitwan, 26-year-old Aman Mansuri was arrested Thursday afternoon in Ratnanagar Municipality-1, Sauraha, with 79 ampoules each of Phenergan and Norphin.

In Sunsari, 25-year-old Sanjay Kumar Yadav was arrested Thursday evening at Koshi Rural Municipality-1, Laukahi Chowk, with 16,800 tablets of Tramadol.

Finally, in Dang, two individuals including 20-year-old Kharkalal Dangi were arrested Thursday night in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-19 with 210 milligrams of a substance resembling brown sugar. Police are conducting further investigations into all cases.
