CPN (UML) leader Ishwar Pokharel urges party leadership to adapt to changing circumstances

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) leader Ishwar Pokharel has urged the party leadership not to make the mistake of interpreting circumstances to suit their own mindset.

Writing a status on social media Facebook titled 'For the defense of CPN (UML)', leader Pokharel emphasized the need to improve one's thinking and behavior according to the evolving situation.

'Let us align our mindset with the pace of events, and not make the folly of interpreting the pace of events to suit our own (flawed) mindset,' Pokharel wrote, 'Let us work on refining our mindset to match the pace, and may the entire UML rank and file understand this.'

Stating that unprincipled power interests, political opportunism, self-centered expressions, and activities contrary to rules and procedures are extremely harmful to the party, he pointed out that the current need is to be united to avoid such issues and make the party dynamic at a new level.

Recalling that since its inception, the UML has been a party guided by organized rules, procedures, a collective leadership system, and critical consciousness, he mentioned that serious debates were held to give the party a new life during the 11th National Convention held in Mangsir.

Claiming that the party is currently under a multi-pronged conspiratorial attack, leader Pokharel has called upon all leaders, cadres, and well-wishers not to forget the party's historical background and to rise up, dusting themselves off from where they have fallen.
